Cycle Warehouse
Typically a warehouse is a place to store and distribute merchandise to stores and sometimes customers. Here at the Cycle Warehouse we store and distribute information on cycling. It is important that you find and have the right information before you buy if you are truly wanting to buy the best merchandise you can buy. That is why we here at the Cycle Warehouse seek to give out only the best information available on bikes and cycling in order for you to make a properly informed decision on all your cycling needs.
As all of us are aware you can buy a lot on the internet these days. Sometimes you can even save money by buying on the internet.
But one of the biggest tips I am going to give you is your local bike shop in a key part of cycling that you don’t want to neglect. Nothing beats a visit to your local bike shop. Every LBS is unique and has its own unique character as well as the characters who work there of course. It is the source for you of your local bike selection that’s available. Helping you figure out the size of bike you need. It is a great source for cycle clothing and accessories. Often you don’t know you want or need until you get out on the road. It’s also great for local information on cycle groups and trails and routes. All this is invaluable and you won’t know what you’re missing until you start checking things out.
Beyond all that your LBS can help you with bikes and equipment and maintenance which unless you know all that already can really come in handy. Rider owned stores are often the best in my opinion because they know what they’re selling from firsthand experience which gives them a more complete knowledge of the produces they’re selling. One of the disadvantages is they want to sell you what they have in the store so sometimes they are a little prejudice towards their produces and rate them a little higher than they deserve. But really who can blame them they are in business to make money. Your job is to be able to make a wise decision from being well informed before you buy.
Purchasing a bike online can also have its advantages. One of those advantages is selection. Where the local bike shop can only carry so much stock, online there are hundreds of stores with every brand of bike available to purchase. The problem is you can’t touch any of them.
You can browse all of the largest supplier of bikes and parts as well as accessories available in the world. Then you can order them online and have them shipped to your door. All of that is great but you will still need your LBS to help you maintain your bike or you will have to learn to do that yourself. If you plan to use your LBS then you better have a good relationship with them as they are working with a bike that they didn’t sell.
We have two stores in our town and one is well established and if your haven’t bought your bike there you go to the bottom of the list for repairs no matter what. I don’t deal there typically.
I trust you will enjoy the information you find on this site and that Cycle Warehouse is helpful to you.
